The MCSA validates that you have the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.

You can obtain a MCSA on Windows Server 2003 or on Windows 2000. Both of these also have two specializations... Messaging and Security. See more details on all 4 of these certification paths below.


MCSA : Messaging on Windows 2003

  • Exam 70-290
  • Exam 70-291
  • Exam 70-210 or 70-270
  • Exam 70-284

Exceptions :

  1. Passing exam 70-240, means a pass for exams 70-210, 70-215, 70-216 and 70-217.
  2. Holding MCSA or MCSE on 2000, you may replace both exams 70-290 and 70-291 with exam 70-292.


MCSA : Security on Windows 2003

  • Exam 70-290
  • Exam 70-291
  • Exam 70-210 or 70-270
  • Any two of the following exams... 70-299, 70-227, 70-350, CompTIA Security+ 

Exceptions :

  1. Passing exam 70-240, means a pass for exams 70-210, 70-215, 70-216 and 70-217.
  2. Holding MCSA or MCSE on 2000, you may replace both exams 70-290 and 70-291 with exam 70-292.


MCSA : Messaging on Windows 2000

  • Exam 70-215
  • Exam 70-218
  • Exam 70-210 or 70-270
  • Exam 70-224 or 70-284

Exceptions :

  1. Passing exam 70-240, means a pass for exams 70-210, 70-215, 70-216 and 70-217.

 


MCSA : Security on Windows 2000

  • Exam 70-215
  • Exam 70-218
  • Exam 70-210 or 70-270
  • Any two of the following exams... 70-214, 70-227, 70-350, CompTIA Security+ 

Exceptions :

  1. Passing exam 70-240, means a pass for exams 70-210, 70-215, 70-216 and 70-217.
