Novell Certified Linux Professional 10 (NCLP)

The Novell Certified Linux Professional 10 (Novell CLP 10) is for people interested in being Linux administrators. Skills demonstrated by someone holding a Novell CLP 10 certification include :

Novell Certified Linux Engineer 10 (NCLE)

In order to become a Novell Certified Linux Engineer 10 you must be certified as a Novell Certified Linux Professional 10.

Certified Novell Administrator (CNA)

CNAs provide companies direct support for software users in various work environments including professional offices and small businesses, work groups or departments, and corporate information services (IS).

Exam Requirements :

  • Netware 6 (Exam : 050-677) OR (Exam : 050-686)
  • OR
  • Netware 5 (Exam : 050-653)

Note : Individuals pursuing a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) certification should have a fundamental knowledge of networking before learning the specifics of Novell networking. Novell strongly recommends individuals have a CompTIA Network+ certification before pursuing the Novell CNA. In a recent survey the vast majority of Novell CNAs, who had obtained the Network+ certification prior to earning the Novell certification, rated the CompTIA knowledge as VALUABLE to HIGHLY VALUABLE in preparing them for the CNA. Achieving the Network + certification ensures you have a good understanding of network implementation, support, media, topologies, protocols, and standards—all necessary areas of knowledge to successfully pursue the CNA certification.

 

Certified Novell Engineer (CNE)

Your CNE training gives you a wide variety of network support skills that allow you to keep your company's network running efficiently - with less downtime. As a CNE, you solve advanced company-wide support problems and high-level network problems. You perform planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrade services for networks.

Master Certified Novell Engineer (MCNE)

CNE Logo Master CNE training gives you the knowledge and skills to offer a higher level of support for the environments you work in. As a Master CNE, you are the multi-vendor, multi-solution specialist of the network industry.

Certified Novell Instructor (CNI)

The Certified Novell Instructor is the world's most renowned technical instructor certification. CNI program requirements have recently been revised to include an emphasis on Linux instruction.

Program Requirements

To ensure that Novell official curriculum is taught by the best technical trainers in the industry, Novell Training Services has set the following requirements for participating as a CNI:

  • Technical requirement (complete one of the following): Novell CNE 6, Novell CLP (9 or 10).
  • Novell Training Services Certification Agreement:  If you missed signing the agreement when you took your certification exam, you may sign online.
  • Didactical requirement (complete one of the following): CTT+, CCSI, CCI, HPCT, MCT or Novell Instructor Performance Evaluation (IPE); Please fax a copy of the non-Novell certificates listed above to 801.861.3900, Attn: CNI requirements or send it as a scanned image to eddata@novell.com
  • CNI Application:  Enter the Certification Database.  In order to sign the CNI agreement you must first complete one of the technical requirements listed above.

A CNI must comply with the Course Authorization requirements prior to delivering a Novell Course.

 

Novell Academic Instructor (NAI)

Designed for Novell's Academic Partners (NATP/NTI), the NAI certification allows you to teach certified courses at authorized Novell Academic Training Partner or Novell Technical Institute locations. As a certified instructor, you will have access to information on Novell's latest products, valuable classroom material, and resources that will asssist you with your courses.

Program Requirements
 
To ensure that Novell official curriculum is taught by the best technical trainers in the industry, Novell Training Services has set the following requirements for participating as a Novell Academic Instructor (NAI). For any inquiries regarding the NAI program, please contact Novell Training Services.

In order to become an NAI, please complete the following steps in order :

  • Course Authorization: Earn a minimum of one Course authorization before applying to be an NAI. Review the Course Authorization Chart to confirm course authorization requirements.
    Note: The Course Authorization requirement must be met to fill the remaining requirements.
  • Academic Employment: Be employed by or contract with a Novell Academic Training Partner. Once you have verified your school's partner status, e-mail your Silver PartnerNet number to eddata@novell.com
  • NAI Application: To access the NAI application, please login to the Certification Database; then on left navigator select Tools; complete agreement/application; submit NAI application.
    Note: If you do not already have an account on Novell's website, select the option to create an account prior to completing this step.
  • Novell Training Services Certification Agreement: If you missed signing the agreement when you took your certification exam, you may sign it online.

Please note that NAIs are only authorized to train at accredited academic institutions.
