Dotnetnuke core Repository module (TUTORIAL)
To add the module it is just a matter of selecting the Repository module from the list of modules, choosing where on the website you wish to add it (in this case Contentpane and at the bottom of any other modules that currently exist in this pane) and set who has the right permissions to view the module :
The default Repository module is shown below :
Once you have the module on the page, hovering your mouse over the menu will pop up the options menu as shown below. Clicking on the "Settings" option allows us to set many different options for this particular module :
The Repository Settings shown below allow us to set options such as a title, whether to display the surrounding container, and what specific repository settings to use as shown below :
In this case I have chosen mainly default values. Though I do give the Repository a description.
Now, after clicking on the "Update" link at the bottom of the settings page, I can see the finished Repository module as shown below :
Clicking on the "Upload" button allows you to add a document to your website's Repository.
You only need to fill in the screens shown below to create your Repository document.
Below, I show what I would enter for a typical Repository item :
My finished Repository example is shown below. If you have the correct security permission, you will see the "Download" link where you can click and download individual Repository items.
