Dotnetnuke Core Survey Module (TUTORIAL)
To add the module it is just a matter of selecting the Links module from the list of modules, choosing where on the website you wish to add it (in this case Contentpane and at the bottom of any other modules that currently exist in this pane) and set who has the right permissions to view the module :
Once you have the module on the page, hovering your mouse over the menu will pop up the options menu as shown below. Clicking on the "Settings" option allows us to set many different options for this particular module :
The Survey Settings shown below allow us to set options such as when the survey will close, the maximum width of the Survey Bar Graph, how to track the voting (By a cookie or by one vote for each registered user), and whether to make the survey results public for everyone to see or private for only admin users to see.
Now that the settings have been adjusted, you can return to the pop up menu and select the option to "Add Question" :
To create a survey, you will need to fill in the fields as shown below :
For example, I have filled in the following details for my survey question :
Therefore, the completed survey appears below :
Choosing the appropriate answer with a tick in the checkbox, completes the survey as shown below :
Clicking on the "View Results" link will show the survey results in graphical form as shown below :
Far more complex surveys can be created using this process...
